My name is John Velazquez
I come from a family background where my home was always a place to host and help families and missionaries.
Since my childhood, I have had the opportunity to travel to various countries where I was able to witness the hard work that the missionaries did, not only by sharing the gospel but also in the social environment of how to supply, help and work in the communities to meet their needs.
See how they didn’t live for themselves but for others. They left everything they owned to give it to those most in need. I saw how they struggled with different needs many times, and illnesses, and their work was difficult, and sometimes even impossible to meet their own needs and the mission’s needs.
The monthly offerings and donations could only supply some, but not enough for them to be able to complete or carry out projects in the places they were doing the mission. This has never stopped them from doing the missionary work and they continue to do so with love and passion.
Today, at my mature age, I work alongside a wonderful group in our local and nearby communities. The need on the streets with the less fortunate individuals who have nowhere to live, people with addictions, women in domestic violence relationships, veterans without a home and food, among other needs. All of this has prompted us to work to serve them in many ways.
All of these events that God has allowed me to live and witness, has led us to identify with them and has prompted us to do this work of love and compassion for all of them.
This is how Lifting Hands International Ministry Inc. was born.
For over four years, we have been working alongside missionaries in Asia. We do not do this just to bring them an offering, but to offer closer support and to cover needs that a donation or monthly offering cannot cover.
The missionaries have left everything, their land, families, customs, jobs, and culture to give everything to do the mission. There are needs and projects that monthly donations and offerings cannot cover.
Moral, spiritual, and even psychological support is vital for them as they live alone, far from their family and cultural environments.
Being able to communicate with them constantly, visit them, hug them, listen to them, have a cup of coffee, share and work with each missionary in their projects and ministries, is rewarding for each of them and for us.
To be able to meet needs such as …
-Medical expenses
-Transportation
-A good home
-Visa and passports
-Education for their children
-Construction projects
From these things to a gift on their birthdays and holidays, small things that we ourselves like to have, but that they lack due to distance, time, and financial need.
Lifting Hands international ministry is committed to the local community and missionaries far from our territorial borders in lifting their hands.
Our commitment is to take care of them, and ease the burden so that their missionary work is more pleasant and effective.
Our mission is to lift their hands and ease the burden on everyone in need in and out of our community and missionaries beyond our borders, bringing ministerial , personal and spiritual aid.
Our vision is to create a heart of service and passion for the mission in each of you so that you join us and we can work together to bless, help and lift the hands to all of them and to those most in need. That through our actions we can demonstrate the love of God and the transforming power of the Gospel.
I am counting on you….
